I tried to convince my doctor that I don't need the endometrial biopsy at this stage, and that surely she had enough information to make a diagnosis or at least give me a referral to an RE. No dice. She said I needed it, and it has been rescheduled for May 12 in the afternoon. Great. That means I have all day to worry about the pain. I brought up how painful the HSG was, and asked if she could recommend anything since the 800 mg ibuprofen didn't do crap. I also mentioned how much anxiety I was having over this test (secretly hoping for a Xanax beforehand). She probably thinks I'm some cracked out drug seeker. In any event, I was denied. She said the biopsy isn't as painful as the HSG, and doesn't last as long, so an 800 mg ibuprofen should be fine. Either she is lying, or all of the accounts I've read online are. Damn you Google!
